I'm Spartacus!

Picture
One of my favorite characters of all time, brought beautifully back to life by Tapert, DeKnight, Raimi, and STARZ.

Just watched my first episode of Spartacus: War of the Damned ("Enemies of Rome") last night, and I am ridiculously stoked. I cannot believe it took me to the fourth season to finally notice it.

The visuals are unbelievable. The script, actors, and direction are top notch. The women who follow him are like Spartans. What's not to like about that? And even though, just like with the Titanic, you know how the story's got to end, it's NOT like the Titanic in that there is a hell of a lot more room and creative leeway as to how you get there.

(A word of warning: The gore -- and a few other things -- in this series is seriously full throttle. We're talking TV-MA, folks. If that ain't your cup of tea, I would give this a wide berth.)

Hi Stephe! :D

I'm a fan of this series too! although I believe their budget for "blood" is larger than the budget for "costumes" cuz those men clothes are tiny, not that I'm complaining!, this series is the BEST I've watched in a long time. I've being a fan from Taper and Raimi since "Hercules" and "Xena: Warrior Princess" so I knew they were gonna be awesome since HBO took them under their wings. They never let me down, this series is awesome, the story is amazing and they made it spectacular!

Believe me, Mari, I ain't complaining about the wardrobe. LOL! ;)

Yeah, it was Taper and Raimi that drew me, too. I was really wanting to taste some more Herc and Xena, and with it being Spartacus, that made it even better.

And I don't mind going full bore when it comes to the gore. I mean WOW.
